Citizen's Academy

The WCSO Citizen's Academy is a program that was started under Sheriff Miller in 2017. The Citizen's Academy is a way for citizens of Wakulla County to get an up-close and personal view of the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff's Office. Participants are treated to a multi-week course where they get to do things such as tour the jail, process a crime scene and work through actual training scenarios at the WCSO Training Range. Participants will also get to meet with Sheriff Miller and members of the WCSO command staff. Sheriff Miller established his tenure in office on being open to the public, and the Citizen's Academy is one of the ways that WCSO is able to engage with the citizens of Wakulla County.
