Ten law enforcement officers from the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office joined the search for 21-year-old Danielle Brown on Thursday, Feb. 18. Brown is a Tallahassee woman with Wakulla County roots who was reported missing on Feb. 5.

The sheriff’s office staff members joined Leon County and Thomas County, Ga. law enforcement officials and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) in a search in Thomas County.

The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office has a mutual aid agreement with area law enforcement agencies whenever additional manpower or equipment is needed, according to Sheriff David Harvey.

The assistance continued Friday, Feb. 19 with a different group of Wakulla officers. The Feb. 18 search failed to turn up anything.

Brown was the manager at a Crawfordville merchandise store and attended school for part of her life in Wakulla County.

“The officers will be used on a day-to-day basis as needed,” said the sheriff. Feb. 18 was the first day Wakulla was included in the Brown investigation.
