A FEW SPOTS REMAIN OPEN FOR THE JUNE 29th AND JUNE 30th TEEN DRIVER CHALLENGE
The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office will host another Teen Driver Challenge at the end of this month. This program will be a two day event from 08:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, June 29 and June 30.
On the first day students will have classroom instruction as the program begins at the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Operations Center Conference Room. Driving exercises, such as serpentine, forward and reverse, figure 8 and cornering, will also be conducted at the fire training center next to the Sheriff’s Office.
The second day of the program will shift to Wakulla High School for additional driving exercises. The driving exercises will include: threshold braking; evasive maneuvers; backing up; and off road corrections. Lunch will be provided both days.
