WCSO Makes Drug Bust During Search Warrant

Seized Drugs and Paraphernalia

On February 4, 2020, Detectives of the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) at the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office (SO), assisted by the North Star Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force (NSMDTF), executed a search warrant at 10 Monticello Avenue, Panacea, Florida, and arrested four subjects on drug charges.

Detectives of the CID have received multiple citizen complaints alleging drug activity at 10 Monticello Avenue, Panacea, Florida.  Through making controlled buys of methamphetamine at that location and conducting surveillance during a protracted investigation, CID Detectives developed probable cause to believe there was methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at that location.  CID Detectives obtained a search warrant, which was executed on February 4, 2020.  At the time the search warrant was executed, the residence was occupied by Charles Kevin Agerton, aka “Hank;” Paula Beatrice Kilgore; Admiral Doyle Barwick; Summer Harris; and Brent Hughes.  During the search of the residence, over three ounces of crystal methamphetamine, a user quantity of cocaine, a bag of marijuana, and multiple glass pipes commonly used to smoke methamphetamine were located.  Admiral Barwick was in possession of a user quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  During a search of Charles Brent Hughes’ vehicle in the yard, a user quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located.

CID Detectives arrested the following persons and booked them into the Wakulla County Jail on the following charges:

Charles Kevin Agerton, aka “Hank,” 56 years of age – Trafficking in methamphetamine; possession of cocaine; possession of cannabis; possession of drug paraphernalia; and maintaining a drug dwelling
