Undersheriff Jones Set to Retire

At a small private ceremony on Monday July 31 Sheriff Miller recognized Undersheriff William “Billy” Jones, who is retiring soon. Undersheriff Jones has been with the Sheriff’s Office for 20 years and has served as Sheriff Miller’s second in command during Sheriff Miller’s tenure as Sheriff.

In addition to serving as Sheriff Miller's second in command Undersheriff Jones has also worked in the Jail, Road Patrol, WCSO Swat team, Bike Patrol, Traffic Unit, and is best known from his time as a School Resource Officer with WCSO.

Undersheriff Jones' last day in the office will be Wednesday August 2nd.  Sheriff Miller and all of WCSO thank Undersheriff Jones for his service and wish him the best in his next adventure.
