Public Steering Committee meeting announced

In accordance with the agreement between the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office’s and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, notice is hereby given of the 287(g) WSO Steering Committee meeting.

The Steering Committee will meet via TEAMS on February 6th, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Public comments are welcome. All those interested in speaking are asked to submit their inquiries via email at Florida287g@ice.dhs.gov  no later than 10 days prior to the meeting. Immigration and Customs Enforcement asks that if you have any specific question, please provide them in advance so they have an opportunity to prepare to respond at the meeting.

 

 Per the current agreement between WCSO and U.S. Homeland Security public Steering Committees meetings are to be held every 3 years. These meetings are geared to answer any questions the public may have regarding the MOA. 

The members of this steering committee will include the agency’s leadership, the 287g Program Manager, and the ICE Field Office Director. This committee will also include an ICE Public Affairs Officer, and the County’s Public Information Officer.
