Crawfordville, Florida – On Monday, May 28, 2012, the Wakulla County Commission will observe Memorial Day at an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. in front of the Wakulla County Courthouse. This Memorial is dedicated to the lasting memory and sacred honor of the brave veterans of Wakulla County who gave their lives in the service of our Country.

Memorial Day is a special day reserved to express gratitude for our departed Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and Merchant Mariners. In each generation, brave men and women have always stepped forward to take the oath of allegiance as members of America’s armed forces, willing to fight and if necessary die, for the sake of our freedom and for the sake of our children and our nation’s future.

Please come out and show support for our fallen loved ones on Monday, May 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. in front of the County Courthouse. For additional information, please contact J.D. Johnson, Veteran Service Officer, at 926-1072.
