Third Annual Florida Sheriffs Association Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony honors those men and women who have given their lives in the protection of others. More than 350 men and women have given their lives in the line of duty from 1844 through 2014.
Of the 67 counties in Florida, only Franklin, Glades, Hardee, Martin, Pinellas, Santa Rosa, Sarasota and Wakulla have not had a sheriff's office law enforcement line of duty death. The Florida Sheriffs Association hosted ther annual event Monday, May 5.
