WCSO conducts a marijuana bust at Crawfordville grow house

The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigations Division and Vice Unit, with members of the COPS program and Uniform Patrol, served a search warrant at the home of Valentine Jesus Diaz on Emerald Acres Drive in Crawfordville on Tuesday, March 25.


 
Upon the search warrant being served deputies and detectives seized four firearms, 143 marijuana plants, and more than 454 grams of processed marijuana. Additionally, electronic scales, lighting, fans, air conditioning units and fertilizer were taken.
 
At present three rooms in the home had been converted for marijuana cultivation. A fourth room had all the equipment necessary for a hydroponic grow to be started.
 
Diaz, 58, was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is currently incarcerated at the Wakulla County Detention Facility with a $15,500 bond.
