|Sheriff Creel recognizes hard work of Riversink student|
Riversink Elementary School second grade student Ashton McCarty was recognized by Wakulla County Sheriff Charlie Creel for making it on the AB Honor Roll at his school.
Sheriff Creel was presenting letters to students who made the Honor Roll earlier in the year when he spoke to Ashton about working really hard to get on the Honor Roll himself. Since the sheriff and the student talked, Ashton has made the Honor Roll twice at Riversink.
On Tuesday, May 21, Sheriff Creel presented Ashton with his letter which was framed. The student also received a pin and had lunch with Sheriff Creel, Sgt. Billy Jones and Undersheriff Trey Morrison in the WCSO staff dining room.
“I wanted to recognize Ashton for all his hard work and for applying himself in the classroom,” said Sheriff Creel. “Congratulations, you deserve it.”
