Search warrant served, teenager arrested for burglary, theft

Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested an 18-year-old Crawfordville teenager in connection with an April 8 vehicle theft on Maria Del Carmen Lane in Crawfordville, according to Sheriff Charlie Creel.

Elisha Jerime Tilley was arrested for two counts of burglary and two counts of theft following the execution of a search warrant at his home on April 10. The stolen property, owned by Joseph Vernon of Crawfordville, was recovered following the search warrant execution.

The victim reported the theft of items from his vehicles on April 8. The thefts included two GPS units and prescription medications. The value of the stolen items was $360.

The investigation continues and an additional arrest is anticipated. A third GPS unit was recovered during the investigation. Detectives Nick Boutwell, Clint Beam and Derek Lawhon investigated.
