On March 5, Dave Hawkins of Richard Creech Road in Crawfordville reported a travel trailer fire, according to Wakulla County Sheriff Charlie Creel.
Wakulla County Firefighters were called to the scene and extinguished the blaze. There was no one inside the trailer and the victim reported that the trailer had no particular value. The victim noted that the blaze may have started by a stray cigarette.

The trailer was uninsured, the owner reported that it had little value and the fire has been ruled accidental. Firefighters brought the blaze under control in a short time and protected a neighboring wood frame home from becoming involved. The trailer was destroyed in the fire.
