Firearms and Personal Safety Course For Women

The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office will be offering the Firearms and Personal Safety Course for Women again April 26. The course beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Sheriff's Office, 15 Oak Street. There will be 4 hours of classroom instruction, before participants move to the Firing Range for hands-on experience.
The course will be taught by WCSO Firearms Instructors and will cover safe gun handling, carrying a firearm, proper ammunition and loading and shooting a firearm. A discussion of non-lethal pepper spray and stun guns will help you choose what type of protection you feel is right for your situation.
The fee for the course will be $30, and covers ammunition. To sign up for the class, please email Major Larry Massa at lmassa@wcso.org with your name and contact information and what date you would like to attend. He will respond back to you with confirmation of your selected date.
